Monthly Music Recap (February 2022)
Welcome back to another month of my recap of top singles and projects. I understand that not everyone has the time to go through a long list of new music each week, so this recap is a way for me to provide a summary of new music that everyone should check out.
I'm listing my top singles and projects each month in no particular order, so check out at the end of each month or the beginning of the new month for a monthly recap. Each month might differ in terms of number of entries, as this will depend on the number of new releases, which can vary from month to month. The number for February is 20 (twenty).
Each entry will have a release date listed beside the title, so you can easily refer back to the previous issues on the same date to see the rest of the singles and projects released for that month.
Previous Issues
Here are the previous issues for your reference and convenience in case you missed them. As you can expect, I'm using the previous issues as a base to list out my top singles and projects for the month:

Top Singles
This month has had a ton of great music, and like last month, I had a tough time narrowing down to 20, frequently hitting over the limit and having to make some tough choices. Ultimately though, some tracks did stand out more than the others. Starting with this recap issue, I will also include a playlist of the top singles for your convenience as well.
One of the songs I included for this month is Tessa Violet's YES MOM because before it was officially released, the teaser was already a hit on TikTok and I adored the videos that came from that teaser. Another one I included is Isaac Dunbar's bleach, as it was absolutely refreshing and something that everyone should check out. I also included a Tom Rosenthal song (huge thanks to Ameliorates who introduced me to him at the first place), and You Will Marry The Wrong Person is just a delight to listen to.

Top Projects (Albums, Mixtapes, EPs)
In terms of projects, there were also a lot of them released. This month I had a tougher time narrowing them down, though not as tough as the singles, as there were some clear standouts to me.
Bastille's Give Me The Future has been on my rotation since its release because I really liked the direction that they were going for, and it was a welcome change in sound, yet it felt so them at the same time. I also included Jazmine Sullivan's deluxe album release because the additions deserved to be highlighted on its own (Admittedly, I missed on listening to the original release back in early 2021). The one that surprised me the most was Shamir's Heterosexuality. The messages behind the whole album was just so personal yet so relatable.

And there you have it, my top singles and projects for the month of February 2022. Again, my intention is to provide a summary so that people can check out music if they don't have enough time to do so. This list also gives you a taste of my favorite genres, and I hope you enjoy every one of them like I do.
Check back Friday, Mar 4, where I'll release a new issue of New Music This Week. Until then, happy listening!
P.S. If you want to actually stalk what I’m listening to at any time, feel free to do so here. The link takes you to my Last.fm profile. It’s not completely accurate as it sometimes misses out on the newer releases, but it’s a good gauge.
